Abstract
This is a dataset of points marking politically-significant towns (e.g. towns that were extensively described) in the Relaciones Geográficas manuscript accounts at the Benson Latin American Collection. Towns referenced within the texts that did not contain a standalone description were not included in this dataset.
Purpose
Mapping of politically-significant towns identified and described in the Relaciones Geográficas Collection at the Benson Latin American Collection.
