This polygon shapefile represents vernal pool complexes in west Placer County, California. The complexes were originally digitized from earial photography with some field verification. This data layer was updated in 2008 using recent aerial photography and additional field verification. This layer is part of a collection of public geospatial datasets produced by the Placer County GIS Division. This layer is presented in the WGS84 coordinate system for web display purposes. Downloadable data are provided in native coordinate system or projection.
