This line shapefile represents San Francisquito Creek, in the San Francisco Bay area of California. San Francisquito Creek flows into southwest San Francisco Bay in California. San Francisquito Creek courses through the towns of Portola Valley and Woodside, as well as the cities of Menlo Park, Palo Alto, and East Palo Alto. The creek and its Los Trancos Creek tributary define the boundary between San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties. This layer is part of a collection of GIS data created and managed by the Jasper Ridge Biological Preserve. This dataset is intended for researchers, students, and policy makers for reference and mapping purposes, and may be used for basic applications such as viewing, querying, and map output production, or to provide a basemap to support graphical overlays and analysis with other spatial data. This layer is presented in the WGS84 coordinate system for web display purposes. Downloadable data are provided in native coordinate system or projection.
