Inside cartouche: "A PARIS Chez Laltre, rue St. Jaques, a la Tille de Bordeaux. avec. Privd."

A known forgery. There is evidence of a change in the plate in order to create California as an island. The map maker R. Bonne (1727-1794) lived later than the date on the map.
