San Francisco called "Yerba Buena or San Francisco."

"Entered according to act of Congress in the year 1848 by J.H. Bufford & Co. in the Clerks office for the District Court of Massachusetts."

Collector's note: This map is regarded as the first published map to show or designiate the gold region.
