This polygon shapefile contains statistics on languages, marital status, remittance, and employment from the 2007 Census of Population and Housing in El Salvador. The census information was collected by the Dirección General de Estadística y Censos in May of 2007. The original questionaire and other supporting documentation for this census is included with this download. These data are intended for researchers, students, and policy makers for reference and mapping purposes, and may be used for basic applications such as viewing, querying, and map output production. This layer is presented in the WGS84 coordinate system for web display purposes. Downloadable data are provided in native coordinate system or projection.
