Description:

California shown as a labeled island with an indented coastline and many place names. Area to the north is labeled Terra Incognita, Terra Esonis. The Strait of Anian is labeled.

Gores are on four plates showing the northern hemisphere. The top two are labeled "I" and "II". 4th plate shows inset map of north pole, labeled POLVS TERRAE BOREALIS.
