Title of cartouche is on an ox skin being held up by natives. Monkeys and tortoises
surround the base. Various types of animals decorate the mainland, while the sea contain
sailing ships. "This was a standard map throughout the seventeenth century and it went into
many editions, and was copied by other publishers."
