Engraved title page; head and tail-pieces throughout. Introductory text. Descriptive text accompanies each map. Decorative cartouches, bar scales, compass roses, rhumb lines, ships, sea monsters. Maps show topography, vegetation, waterways, shoals, ports, city plans. In addition to title cartouches, maps stamped with titles at top. Map 6 shows North Pole. Map 47 has coat of arms; Map 156 has seals. Map 152 has pictorial representation of Adam and Eve. Some differences between titles within cartouches and titles above maps; descriptive text sometimes contains elaborate titles listing place names included in maps, e.g. Map 21: Angliæ IIII tabula, in qua hi sunt comitatus, Cornubia, Devonia, Somersetus, Dorcestria, Wiltonia, Glocestria, Monumetha, Glamorgan, Caermarden, Penbrock, Cardigan, Radnor, Brecnoke, Herefordia & Vigornia.
