Shows rivers, roads, hills, telegraph lines, railways and railways under construction. 2nd ed. Relief indicated by contours. Bar scale on map given in "Miles." Inset maps: Pretoria (scale 1 in. to 2 miles) -- Kimberley (scale 1 in. to 2 miles) -- Bloemfontein (scale 1 in. to 2 miles) -- Mafeking (scale 1 in. to 3 miles) -- Johannesburg (scale 1 in. to 2 miles) -- Ladysmith (scale 1 in. to 6 miles -- Dundee (scale 1 in. to 4 miles = 1 inch) -- South Africa. "Copyright for U.S. America ceded to Major L. I Seymour for benefit of Railway Pioneer Regiment Sustentation Fund." The map is damaged. The inset map in the lower right hand corner, depicting South Africa as a whole, has been torn away. Legend beneath title.
