Description:

California as large island without place names, but of unusual shape, with large peninsula on its northwest. Suggestion of strait to north. None found. Prime meridian to west of I. Bermudes (approx. 70 W latitude). Includes much of Europe and Africa. Fig.I and Fig.IV (bottom center) show geometrical projections; and Fig.II (lower left) and Fig.III (lower right) hemispheres each 6.6 cm. diameter show latitude and longitude grids.
