This polygon shapefile represents areas of aggregated socioeconomic and demographic information at the NUTS 3 level for Europe. NUTS 3 units have an average population between 150,000 and 800,000 people. NUTS (Nomenclature des Unités Territoriales Statistiques) refers to the Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistics. This layer is part of the 2014 ESRI Data and Maps collection for ArcGIS 10.2. Europe NUTS 3 Demographics provides NUTS 3 level demographic information for Europe.
