This polygon shapefile represents the lakes of Afghanistan from the United States Defense Mapping Agency (USDMA) 1:100,000 scale topo maps. This layer includes both major and minor lakes. Lakes is a base map layer of polygon lakes features mapped at a 1:100,000 scale. Data at this scale is suitable for general studies and local planning.
