South Africa Building Footprints, 2014 is a polygon theme representing the the footprint of buildings in South Africa, including data about the building type (border customs, clinic, club house, college, factory, hospital, hotel, large building, market, medical school, mission station, parliament, place of worship, place of worship point, police station, post office area, power station, prison, saw mill, school, school area, technikon, university). The source material is a 1:50,000 topgraphical map series. The original shapefile was originally created in tiles and were merged together by Columbia Libraries, the original map sheet for each feature is included in the attribute table.
