- A 1849 map of Mercer County, NJ that includes the nine townships at that time with larger scale insets of Trenton and Princeton. The map features names of property owners, a written description of the county and several engravings including the State House, Princeton College, Lawrenceville High School and the State Lunatic Asylum. References explaining abbreviations as well as a chart listing the county's nine townships with corresponding land areas are also included on this map. Map scale: 1:42,240 Parts of the original map have become detached from the linen backing. Information contained on those missing parts was retrieved from an identical intact map found on the Library of Congress website, American Memory, Map Collections at: http://memory.loc.gov
