- Purpose
- The City of New Orleans GIS Department (CNOGIS) collects, stores and maintains GIS infrastructure and other data provided by the various departments within the City, other utilities, other government entities, and private enterprise. The purpose for maintaining this enterprise GIS within the City's Mayor's Office of Technology IT system, is to provide GIS and mapping services to all of the GIS Department's shareholders, and to the public.
