- Purpose
- For use with GIS software.
- Supplemental Information
- The digital data contained on this CD is intended for "planning" purposes only. This data is intended to accurately represent the information that it portrays. These data sets are not guaranteed to represent the current, up to date documents that they depict. The data contained herein is representational in nature and should not be used to assessment or legal purposes. Also, this data is not to be construed for purposes of zoning or subdivision of land. When necessary, contact MDSS, or the source agency (as identified in the file metadata.txt in the appropriate directory) for verification of the data. Quantitatively, the positional accuracy of the parcel layer for the urban areas is +/- 5 feet and +/- 40 for rural areas of the county. For the urban areas, the centerline file was used to match up the parcel pages. This centerline file was created from aerial photos, which were calibrated using known control points. For the rural areas, U.S.G.S Quads were used to match up the parcel pages. These Quads have inherent positional accuracies of +/- 40 feet.
