- Abstract
- This database is of market villages in India. The word Haat means village market; markets may occur daily, weekly or monthly. The identification of haat is from the census of 1991. These are not identified in following censuses, i.e., 2001 2011. In the present database, 2001 census demographics have been shown for haat villages which were identified in the census of 1991. Out of 41,150 market villages in 1991, 699 are not identifiable in 2011.
