This feature depicts all the locations through out the state where urban mowing is allowed. This is outlined as part of the urban mowing policy, WisDOT Highway Maintenance Manual (HMM) 07-05-40 Urban Mowing. Specific guidance to the timing, height, width and frequency of mowing is explained in the policy. The policy also describes how each segement of roadside qaulifies for urban mowing. There are two different qaulification catagories, urban state trunk highways (STH) and urban controlled-access highway interchanges and access roads. The creation of this feature happened in 2015 by Bureau of Highway Maintenance. It was updated in 2022. The intended audience includes WisDOT staff, County highway departments who perform maintenance activities and any entity or person interested in knowing where urban mowing operations could be happening. This data will help communicate when, where and why mowing activities are happening or not happening. This dataset was automatically cataloged from the creator's Open Data Portal. In some cases, publication year and bounding coordinates shown here may be incorrect. Additional download formats may be available on the author's website.
