Abstract
This polygon data layer represents State Assembly Districts for Wisconsin in 2002.[2002 Assembly Districts: Districts as created by the Federal Court Redistricting Decision dated May 22, 2002. The districts were effective as of May 30, 2002, when the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin issued its decision in Baumgart et al. v. Wendelberger et al. The plan used the statewide municipal ward dataset created by local officials using U.S. Census Bureau's TIGER 2000 data and annexations up to August 1, 2001.]
Purpose
This data is intended for reference and mapping purposes, and may be used for basic applications such as viewing, querying, and map output production, or to provide a basemap to support graphical overlays and analysis with other spatial data.
