1 map ; 45 x 55 cm Relief shown pictorially. North is oriented to the top of the map with no compass rose or direction indicators. Decorative cartouche includes the escutcheon of France and a face. An escuthceon located next to the city of Sedan on the map and repeated larger in the upper right corner of the map. Inscription "Et se vendent a Paris chez Melchior Tavernier demeurant sur l'Isle du Palais" (And sold in Paris at the house of Melchoir Tavernier located on the Palace Island). This state was published in atlases by Jan Jansson in 1636, 1637, and 1680. From the Jansson Appendix Atlas 1636-1680, title created to represent a unique collection within the Clark Library, University of Michigan.
