1 map 45 x 55 cm. Relief shown pictorially. North is oriented to the right side of the map. Decorative cartouche includes boughs and a monster face above the title. Includes the inscription "Et se vendent a Paris ches Melchoir Tavernier demeurant sur l'isle du Palais a la Sphere." (Sold in the shop of Melchoir Tavernier in Paris on the Island of the sphere.) This state was published in atlases by Jan Jansson in 1636 and 1637. From the Jansson Appendix Atlas 1636-1680, title created to represent a unique collection within the Clark Library, University of Michigan.
